In Ron Ehlert's DVD entitled
Assembling Kentucky Rifles from a Kit
, he uses a mill file which has a tapered cross-section and the overall length features a parabola similar to a knife blade. Two questions: 1) the name of this type of file? 2) where can it be purchased?
Thanks for any help.

Bruce, Go to the following web page,
http://www.cooperhandtools.com/brands/nicholson/index.cfm?search_criteria=1
select the hand tools pull down menu, select chisels/files/rasps and then under files go to knife files. I think is what you are talking about.

Thank you, Dave. The knife files were the ones I was looking for. It was a long and circuitous journey but you sir, provided directions to that end, Thank you again.
