Small Banded Horn

 This is after sanding, drilling and some scraping/filing:



 Here it is finished, it is about 4 ½” TTT, The Cherry base is about 2 ¼”, held in by four Wooden pegs. The tip is Pewter/Antler, the antler held in place by 3 Steel pins and to the horn with 3 more. The Bands are held by 3 Steel pins each. Color is Oil based dye and shoe polish.

That's a lot of bands on such a small horn.  I like it, especially the pewter collar.  I have been wanting to cast and turn one of those for quite some time.  As always, your colors turn out great!

 I have, although a little larger and it did not have an applied tip.

may be of some help. I told someone I would do a tutorial on Pewter bands and I will add a tip like this along with it. I will get to it this week.
