Thanks Dan Phariss

I ran into the old problem of the front lock screw encroaching on the ramrod hole on my current project.  I decided to try Dan's little scraper as he describes in the "Shop made tools" section.  I made one of the scrapers easily enough and it worked well with minimal effort to enlarge the channel away from the screw.

Thanks Dan!

I made one too, shortly after Dan introduced it, and agree:  it's a gem!
