A very sleek and trim design Feltwad. How was it received? Is there enough recess in the hammer to deflect spatter from the shooters face? Thanks for showing it!

These guns were well received from the English sporting shooters ,although they were not made in the thousands  they did come in single and double shotguns also this patent was used in rifles and pistols. Each gun was numbered the one in the image is 119.has for spatter from the caps the hammer is located inside  a shield on the full throw.

Nifty. Sort of a sidelock inline. I can see a moderator's confusion: do I call it an inline, or does it meet the rules because of the lock location........?

Kermit .

This gun is a  percussion gun of centre fire ignition with patent percussion locks and not an in line maybe the Moderator had not seen a Bentley Patent centre fire percussion gun.

Cool invention.  Sorry I pulled the trigger, so to speak, thinking it was not a muzzleloader.
