Who made this trigger?
« on: April 19, 2015, 12:53:17 AM »
The trigger bar is stamped "R&R".  The mechanism looks similar, but not exactly like one shown in English Guns and Rifles by J. N. George.  It seems to be well made.  So.... anyone know who R&R is?  Do they make anything besides triggers?  Thanks.

I have a 1850's Spanish shotgun with virtually the same set trigger mechanism (yes, set trigger on the top barrel) - boy is it slick!  I want to make a copy from the one I have, it's just as crisp and sensitive as a double set trigger.  The extra horizontal lever allows it to be tuned just so - I'll see if I can post photos in a separate topic.  No idea who made yours, looks like a good find.

Not my work.I've made this style without all the curlycues on the finger pad.
It's mechanically a French design and it's been 35 years since I made them. All of them went to Germany
 for pistols.

The one I used came from MBS about 6-8 years ago. You might could ask them who makes theirs.

It looks to me too, like the offering from MBS.  I have used two such triggers in the past few years...excellent value!

That trigger was made by Liston Rice just before or right after they started the Rice Barrel Co.  Some of those triggers were later sold by MBS.

Thanks for all the replies and info on who made the trigger.  I got it from an individual and he didn't know who made it.
