I haven't sold through Dixon's in 20 years but when I did sell 3 guns there it worked great. I prefer selling on consignment because I can build what I want. Dixon's gets a lot of traffic of guys who are looking for quality and who know something about what they are looking for.
If you sell on consignment, you just have to get over the fact that they are making money on your work. If that is going to be a hangup, try working through the CLA site, posting here, etc. Or you could spend a lot of time and money going to shows. There's no easy way even for those who are established- they still need to get exposure.
TOW can get you exposure and they take great photos and do reasonable hype writeups. I'd write my own copy and send it to them and hope they use most of it. But I think you'd need to sell a half a dozen through Track to get guys to notice your work and remember your name.
