I hope professional photos were taken.    For whom do you do such work since Louis the 14th is not around anymore?  If he was,  you would certainly get a royal commission.    WOW!!!!

P.S.  Yes, I know a French king was probably not an appropriate choice for my attempt at praise.   However, my knowledge of German royalty is extremely limited.

Thanks for sharing.   I cant imagine the hours you have put in this.  Also the hours of training to be able to do this.

Are more of these types of photos going to be published?  FEGA's The Engraver?

Thanks for posting.

Good Lord Jerry, that is incredible work. I thought you were "retired"?

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

Jerry sent  these pictures to me so I can forward them to a retired art teacher to see.
Such great work certainly isn't common and never was. I know nothing of French or
German royalty but did think Paul von Hindenburg had the right idea when he told
Adolf Hitler he would appoint him to be a postmaster in Bavaria and sell stamps with
pictures of German royalty on them.

This is a photo of the patch box cover before the wire work was finished. James Schulze did the wire work and all of the carving. Most people don't know James but he is an incredibly talented man and one of the best wood carvers I have ever seen.

The silver on this is only .030 thick
