Hyde Cleveland and Company

Anybody have any information on Hyde Cleveland and Company, lock makers? I can't seem to find anything and I have a flintlock marked that way. Any help would be appreciated.

Matt

Some kind of merchant/importer  from NYC. ( 138 Pearl ST)  Found  them in 1830 era newspapers. Probably an importer of generic locks and stamped their name on the lock plate. They had supplies delivered  from  Liverpool England on a ship named "George Canning"  on Sept 1  1831.  Oh by the way, GC left Liverpool on July 24. Your lock may have been in that shipment.  ;D

Avlrc,

Thanks for the info! Exactly what I was looking for. I was guessing 1820's so I wasn't that far off.
