So far so good, nice lock inletting. What caliber? Smooth or rifled?

Thanks. The barrel started out as a 12" heavy octagonal 45 caliber with poor rifling. I bored it out to a 50 smooth and turned the stepped round profile

That's a nice start.  I would suggest that you try to shape the trigger plate to be long enough to curve all the way down to the end of the butt with a couple of screws for attachment.  That way the trigger plate will strengthen the wood in the butt and make it less likely that your creation will suffer a broken stock.  Think about it.

Thanks Gunmaker. I have made a few belt hooks like this. Not sure they're 100% pc but I like em. This one I forged from a scrap of 1084 I had that was too narrow for a knife blade. The pistol throws a good shot pattern. I still need to try round ball
