.32 cal Barn Gun

I'm just finishing up this little barn gun I got in a parts deal. It has a 42" swamped .32 caliber barrel of unknown origins. The only markings on it are "32C" on the bottom flat. I used a Chambers Early Ketland lock and a simple trigger. The guard seems to be from Track part # TG-MA-26-B Triggerguard, Bedford County, sand cast brass. The pipes are home grown. I haven't got the sights on it yet. They must be back ordered, I bet. I used that store bought "Aqua Fortis" that Track sells. It's more of a honey brown than the red the images show.

Nice looking rifle.  What's the drop measure in that stock?

It's about 3 1/4" & I think it's excessive. The stock was a pre-carved marked as a Bedford Co. I am not a fancy smancy rifle guy so I went with the minimal.

I also like a plain functioning rifle. It's a good looking weapon. Gonna make for some unhappy squirrels ;D

Nice work but that looooong wrist just bothers me.  I realize that everyone has different ideas and I bow to the more noted and experienced makers.

whitbear, The stock was a precarve. It was cut as a Bedford. IMHO, they have one of the worst looking profiles ever. I probably should have left it alone but I wanted to get rid of the horrible "no comb" Bedford profile. This long wrist is a result. I'd much rather it would have been cut as a more typical style gun. Like I said, I got it in a parts buy out so I didn't have a choice on the style.
