I'm new to this site and just discovered your project in the Tutorials... Making a trade rifle is on my todo list and your guard has inspired me to try making my own when the time comes. Thanks very much for the time and effort to publish this!

Amazing. Most people don’t understand what it takes to make furniture from scratch.
I made a very simple guard for a type g a few years ago. It was much less complicated than yours, but quite a project.
