Very nice fowling piece to add to your collection Boyd. Missed you at the last match at Brocks Gap. Try to make the next one and show off your new piece. Third Sunday at 1:00.

Your new fowler does have exceptionally graceful lines.  I know you will enjoy your time with her in the field.

That one looks more like the PA fowler to me, than the English one.  I have one, and it is my favourite smooth bore for round ball.

D Taylor yes it is a Pa fowler it has English styling I guess that's why I said English fowler. I should have it sometime after the 17th. Looking forward to shooting it......:)

What bore ?   I have that same gun in cherry in 28 bore
My 20 bore is the Ofiicer's Fusil  , again in cherry.
Most of my actual hunting is done with the Chambers  New England gun [ 10 bore ]   Too much to handle quickly for partridge, which is where the 20 bore English fusel with it's 41 inch barrel really shines.

Good start - it'll get better as you get to know the gun. V-close to the combination I use in my 20 bore.
