My new patch knife
« on: September 16, 2015, 12:28:58 AM »
I made the blade about 1 year ago and thought I better finish it. Blade is 1084, 3/32" thick, & 3-1-4" long. The handle is buffalo horn with a poured  pewter bolster. Total knife length is 7". I think I will sew a sheath onto my bag strap for it. Thanks for looking ;D

Nice looking knife.  The grip looks like it would be very comfortable in the hand.  Looking forward to seeing the sheath.  Is the buffalo horn water buffalo?

Good question -- I purchased some slabs from a kinfe making supplyer about 10 years ago and I don't remember what they said the slabs were from ???
