lock parts for Ithaca Hawken
« on: September 23, 2015, 08:40:56 PM »
I've been asked to repair this rifle marked Ithaca and made in USA. I'd be needing the tumbler with stirrup, sear, and perhaps a fly. Your guidance to a source familiar with this lock would of great value. Thanks.

Ithaca sold out that gun to Navy Arms way back when. Those guns are very hard to find parts will be next to impossible to find. I would be thinking of a replacement lock unless you want to make them.

Get a TOW catalog with the full size pictures and see how close that lock is to the Davis Hawken lock.
Unless you know someone who is experienced in such repairs or can do them yourself,a replacement
lock is the best bet.

Might find a tumbler that will work but I have no idea what it would be.
Davis Hawken lock parts?
I would change ALL the guts on the thing to something that looks better and functions like it should.

Thanks all. I will probably adapt a new lock to the rifle as the quality of the Ithaca lock is not worth making the parts for repair. Made sense to ask first.

I believe I have the parts you're looking for. Their either from an Ithaca or Uberti, which used the same lock. I'm not sure about the sear. PM me a picture of the sear and I'll see if it matches what I have.

You might try Midway USA or Brownell's, or Numrich
