Runar,

I'm enjoying the heck out of myself watching this build. The few guns I've built have been very satisfying to do. But as I watch your progress and see you make most of the parts, I feel like I'm missing something in my builds. I think buying castings and locks assembled have enabled me to build some guns I'm proud of ( and maybe one I'm not). I'm starting to feel I'm missing something by not trying to make more of the parts. If you were to build a gun that you could but all the parts for, would you? Or would you do it by hand anyways? Thanks for the education, I'm learning a lot.

Runastav, I must have missed it in your photo's, so can you show us how the safety catch is powered. I assume it falls back when the cock is pulled back so is it spring powered from the inside or what?

Hi smylee grouch,I will try to explaine.Dog cath keeping the cock midway between the half and full cock positions. And will fall back as you say when pulled to full cock, no springs only the veight of the Dog cath keep it avay from the cock, dont shoot downhill hehe ;)

OK, thanks Runar. I have seen other safety set ups on locks that I thought were spring powered to stay out of the way when you pulled back to full cock so thought this was one of those. Keep up the good work as I enjoy watching your builds. Do you live any where close to sogn og Fjordane? I have relatives there and would like to visit them someday.

Hi
Love your work on this musket.
This is the main difference between Norwegian and Swedish musket (the band) You've done an excellent job. You should made drawings for sale.  ;)

Hi all! and thank you krutnarr, maby if there is buyers enough ;)
Rear barrelband lockspring made, I use old springs from militery bolt action rifles if they are long/thick enough and I could file to shape the original
