Day horn is usually referred to as any powder horn in the area of 8-10 inch, give or take size range. It's basically a contemporary term given to these smaller horns, meaning to hold only enough powder to last a "DAY", in the woods etc. __ I'm assuming a Day Bag constitutes the same idea.
