Percussion Drum Question
« on: November 13, 2015, 07:28:57 AM »
I am almost finished completing a TOTW Vincent Ohio half stock kit.  The barrel is 45 caliber and is 7/8ths.
After reading several post on this site I am now concerned about the safety of the Vincent rifle's
percussion drum system.  Is this something I should be concerned about when shooting this rifle?

Be sure that the drum is tight in the threads and firmly supported by the lock plate cut that cradles it.
Botched threading and poorly made drums and constant removal for cleaning are a problem. Once it's installed and the nipple aligns with the hammer then leave it alone. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
