I was going to leave it alone, but since it has already been mentioned; I've been wanting a "canoe" gun for a looong time. Thinking about a kit from NSW.  By the way, what powder charge and ball situation did you use for that bruiser?

65gr of FFFG hard card .600 ball .010 patch lubed with mink oil.

You can shoot them all day with cap guns but there is nothing like the first deer with the flint.

Did you ever get that thing measured for a Boone and Crockett score?  If you did what did it score?

 Would have it scored for the longhunters society. Believe 170 inches is the minimum to interring in the Boone an Crocket . My guess is somewhere near . Using the gun for a size reference. But anyway yeah look at it. It's one heck of a nice buck !!!

Looks like a 140+ from here. Min. in Longhunter for typ.whitetail I think is 130. Its a keeper for sure.
