A very handsome rifle sir, and a nice accoutrements set to boot. Well done!

😄 Never even met Ian but I sure would like to. Maybe he could teach me how to forge my own hardware.

That is one great looking gun. I really like the look of the copper inlays/overlays. I think the copper looks good with the steel. How do you attach the copper overlay on the patchbox lid?

There's a copper overlay on the patchbox, trigger guard and sideplate and they're all just soft soldered on.
The finial on the patchbox is also soft soldered on the under side of the patchbox.

Super job! How did you do the patina on the iron parts?

Thanks Greg.
4-5 coats of LMF cold brown, do not card between coats, let set for a couple weeks. Then I scrubbed it all off with a fine Gorrilla sanding sponge and hot water followed by a coat of cold blueing. Then I scrubbed it again with hot water and a Brillo pad.

That rifle is  absolutely  beautiful
Is there a nose piece on it and did you add any of the copper to it ?
Would love to see pictures of that end to if you have any

Thanks guys. Yes Brian there is a open end nose cap with the wood showing and no I didn't use any copper or copper pins on the nose cap, just steel.
