To brown or not to brown that is today's question

I've generally browned everthing on them Lock, barrel etc etc.

Current build is a smoothy full walnut stocked steel mounted with cast in lines in loooong trikker guard and on opposite lock plate.  Am pondering the question should I brown or not?   I'm leaning toward browning rather than leaving her bright due to shooting in the bright sun!!  On the other hand I am thinking of leaving her brown on her own.  Saves pulling everything off to brown then back on again.

Have any of you out there left the ol girl bright except brown the barrel   Am I missing a tradition here??  Would that Idea look goofy?

I leave almost all my rifles bright.  After a few times to the range the metal will start to turn.

Sure Roger - grease the insides a bit and just wipe a coat of vinegar on the outside - let it sit until you shoot it next - that will 'turn' it more quickly, won't it?
