Seems all went for high $$. Most for more than there worth in my opinion

The only thing I see that sold for a "reasonable" price was the Winchester Garand.  That was pretty much the selling price I would expect.  The powder horn went way high.

  I belonged to a Civil War re-enactor club in the '60's, and we had two Ames guns just like the one shown here.  We also had two 4" rifles, but the Ames, being smoothies, were much easier to operate.  That was some real BP shooting!

We are going to continue to ban discussion of arms and accoutrements not closely related to the longrifle.  Talk about the horn all you wish, but we are not going to get onto a slippery slope of "any old sort of gun".  There are plenty of broad interest sites to discuss such things.
