Banded Horn
« on: January 17, 2016, 04:55:25 PM »

It is about 12 1/2" around the outside curve. The Apple Wood base is about 2 1/2", it is hollowed out about 3/4s and held in place with four Steel pins. The tip is one piece of antler held on by 3 more pins, each band also has three pins to retain them. Color is Gun Powder Green Tea and Brown shoe polish.

Tim,
Nice curvature on the horn.  I like the apple wood base plug.  I have an apple gunstock blank I have been saving for years.  Quiet little fella.  I have been waiting for it to speak to me and tell me which barrel and style of rifle to build out of it.  ;D

I like the horn Tim, but feel it needs a third ring proportionally between the second one and the applied tip.
