Original Horn - Restored
« on: March 19, 2009, 03:28:05 PM »
From time to time some of you guys have asked questions about where to find original horns.  Just thought I'd mention that Tim Albert has a beautiful original plain horn, restored to what looks to me to be usable condition, with nice curve and a hand made powder measure on the CLA site, for a very, very good price -- you can't do much better than that and much less than a good contemporary piece would cost.  Even if you are not looking to buy, its worth a look - neat looking piece .

THanks for the heads up Guy...
I actually sold that horn awhile back, and as I recall it is restored to a fully usable condition..the attached measure is pretty neat too and about worth what the current asking price is...the horn hangs on its own strap and is adjustable with a little hand made buckle...its a great old horn for sure.
Its nice to see it surface again...

Oops - just realized - Art Riser is the one actually offering it for sale.

Really nice set.
