Boys Rifle

My buddy, known as Homerifle on here, recently made this boys rifle. He told me this is the second rifle he has built,  the first one was made in 1974.  So for his second rifle, not bad.

That's a pretty nifty little gun. Can you give us some specs. as to cal., barrelsize and length, what lock or was it a hand made lock?

I would say that for a second rifle, he should be pretty proud of that one.  Small guns are harder to make than full sized ones, in my opinion.

There was lots of time & thought put into his project.  I bet the grandson loves it. He will worship his grandfather forever.

I think he did a great job. I liked the way he blended the various styles of rifles into his gun.

I would like to say "thanks!" for the positive comments on my grandsons rifle!
I would also like to thank the instructors at W.K.U gunsmith seminars that are available each spring.
They rekindled a fire I thought had gone out long ago. Many of the guys on here that I consider masters still
attend the seminars because it has such a positive teaching atmosphere that is geared to everyone's talent levels.

That's a great little gun, well done. I have built several boys rifles, they present their own set of problems.
