Definitely shipping USPS Priority for them all.  I imagine for a part in the kit to be broken, there would have to be EXCESSIVE damage to the box.  Like used as target practice...  As they start to arrive, please let me know if there are any issues with the crating.

I think the mailman could run over one of those crates with his truck and the gun would be okay. ;D

Jim is not being to cautious on his shipping. Here is a shot of my shipping case after the last trip through the post office. You can see where they ran over the end of it with a fork lift.

Not as fast as you. I will post pics when finished. Great piece of walnut, nice color and tight grain.

Pretty excited... I received my invoice for my Kibler kit today. I specified 40 cal and theupgrade for the fancier maple.

Need to finish one other project before I get going on it.

I read this thread a few weeks ago. And again today. Had browsed Jim's store more than twice.

Then today, I saw the .45. It may be considered sacrilege of some sort for a rookie like me, but I had to have it.

So I will.

I received the invoice via email. It is an online checkout which was easy and smooth. It's actually two invoices, one for the kit and a separate one for the lock.

I placed the order on 11/2/2015.

I'm quite happy with the turnaround time on an order such as this. I have waited far far longer for a barrel from a well know supplier and a set of parts from the Rifle Shoppe.  And even still I'm not complaining about those waits. I think it's impressive such a variety of parts is available at all.

Keith,

Thanks for the kind words.  As to delivery time, it's continually improving.  Orders have been extremely good; however, we are able to produce kits faster than orders have been placed.  By fall, I hope to be completely caught up and begin stocking product in order to have immediate delivery.  There's no reason this can't happen.   I also have ideas to make the process more efficient and easier.

There's no doubt this project has been pretty difficult and a huge amount of work, but it's been good.  A win-win situation for everyone involved.

Thanks again for all the support and patience.

Thanks everybody.  Just a bit of an update for those who read here...  We'll also be sending messages to those who have ordered.  There is going to be a bit of a delay with shipments.  I crashed my machine this morning.  Not good...  Anyways I'm waiting on parts for repair so things are going to be delayed.  Shouldn't be terribly long though.  We're working as hard as we can.

We shipped a big group out the other day and these should be received by most tomorrow.  Yep, your's is one of these, Nancy!  Glad you are excited.

Thanks again everyone.

Crashing is never good. I hope you only whacked some tooling and didn't hurt the expensive bits. In a former career I set up and operated NC Swiss screw machines.

We had our share of crashes and I know how that goes. In my case it wasn't my machine, but I did have to fix them.

Good luck.

Jim and Katherine,
A break down will be guaranteed as soon as you get going the way you want to.
I remember a day when I was going to make a bunch of tumbler blanks and got
ONE turned, drilled and tapped and the power failed. It was caused by a drunk driver that wrapped his car
around a pole nearby that had a transformer that serves our area. It took most of the day to get that mess
fixed. I am thankful I now have NO real schedule and wish you all possible success with this great long rifle project.

Sincere best wishes on getting that sorted out Jim. You're amazing.

I cannot wait to see photos as the first kits get assembled.

A fun question.....how will builders mark the rifles?? Something like "JK+EW" or "JK+DG"?

Have a great Thursday, Marc

If they are like me, they will sign their own name to the top flat between the breech and rear sight, shamelessly, and take full credit for a great rifle!  And when challenged, will admit that Jim Kibler is the real artist.

Jim,
I picked up my kit (or in white rifle!) this morning. Everything in perfect order not even a footprint on the box. When I opened the box all I could think was Golley Gee such a purty little rifle! I almost dropped everything else to get it started and go squirrel hunting this afternoon. Far less work than I expected. Top notch product with top notch service.
Thanks
Dennis

Went to Jim's yesterday to deliver wood for my kit; about a 3-hr trip one way.
We laid  his pattern on my blank and was disappointed that my piece of "Birds Eye" maple was not quite big enough; "bummer"! Luckily I had taken another nice curly maple blank along just in case; it was more than big enough!
Got to hold a finished gun; Wow what a thin and slender rifle and the balance was great. Can't wait to get mine!
Jim was as busy as a beaver getting orders filled and stocks ready for Bowling Green. There was another gentleman there making rear sights (wax) to go to the foundry!
Had a great visit with him an his wife and 3-legged dog!
Waiting for the call someday; that it is ready to be picked up!

Picked up mine this morning at the local PO and all is well again!  Thanks Jim and Katherine, super looking rifle.  Setting in my shop for the next couple days to acclimate to the shop conditions before I dive in.  Patience is a virtue they say, but $#*! I'm almost 68 and still learning that!!
