It is a small problem but easily dealt with. I've tested both silver and brass with AQ and it will effect both, sort of frost or discolor them but not rapidly. I remove all hardware that I can and have a rag handy to wipe the inlays with after applying the AQ. You might still get a bit of discoloring but it is east to remove if you get at it quick like. All in all it is not a huge problem but don't allow the AQ to stand on the inlays.
