Abraham Nowlin and Seed Tick Rifle
« on: April 28, 2016, 04:24:19 PM »
There is a guy on the Primitive Archer site that had located a rifle made by his great, great, great grandfather and was making arrangements to buy it and keep it in the family. The guy who knew where the rifle was dropped off the radar 3 years ago and quit posting on the internet.

I tried to pull up some info for the guy and only found this;

NOWLIN, Abram Cephus— Born in Patrick Co., Va., 1825; died 1913. Flintlock and percussion Kentucky rifles. Wounded in Confederate Army; after Civil War moved to Stark Creek near Cross Timbers, Hickory Co., Mo. Complete gunmaking; made one lock. Father of Tom Newlin

Anyone familiar with this builder?

Abram Cephus Nowlin, 1846-1861  Cocke Co. Ky. 1865-1913  Hickory Co. Mo.
Born 1825 Died 1913
