Yes absolutely cool pics.  I thought real serious about going with one of the 31" swamped barrels but just went ahead and ordered a "b" wieght 50 cal 38" long for my son's first gun.  I figure that should be a nice light well balanced barrel and if he's like me he'll be done growin (upward anyways) by the time he's 14 or 15 it could last a lifetime.   An excellent build and a fine looking young lady!!!

What for stain and finish did you use, I like the color.  If I can achieve carving like that, i'll be well pleased.

For stain I used Laurel Mountain cherry followed by Laurel Mountain walnut. Go easy on the cherry - it is really red. When I saw how red I about had a heart attack. I rubbed it back and used lots of walnut to try to tone down the red. I tried aqua fortis on a scrap and got a yellow brown which is not what I wanted so went with stain.

Robert.....There is nothing wrong with that rifle and that's a fine looking young lady you have there. I can tell she is proud of her gun and I know you are proud of her.
