Flint bench gun

  A friend of mine asked me to restock his flint bench gun, he wanted a rest close to the toe so he can wear a shooting glove and rest the gun on the glove, plus the old stock was cracked in several places.
 The stock was preshaped except for the butt, part of the comb was done and the rest was left square.
  I've done it all with a gouge and mallet then chisles and files, the barrel weighs 37 lbs. so I've gotten quite a bit of exercise the last couple of weeks.

  It's a .54 and I think he shoots around 180 grs of ffg swiss. He has won quite a few matches with it at Friendship. It shoots an oversize ball .550 I think and uses teflon patch, it has a false muzzle.
  I hope it shoots as well  when I'm finished with it.
