Hi all. Does anyone know who made this lock marked CC&R inside plate?

That stands for Caywood Caywood and Rhoe.

They took a page out of L & R's book to make that interesting pan cover on the frizzen.  Looks like a skookum lock.

Yep thats Caywood Caywood an Rowe which is Mike Rowe aka Kiwi. Mike did the designing on Caywoods locks IIRC an Danny still sells them. Darn good locks or at least the 4 I own have been. I have several different brands an the Caywood is without a doubt the fastest big locks I own an all 4 spark like a welder.

Yep, Rowe designed and built the Caywood locks . I understand they have now parted ways and Rowe didn't even get to keep the rights to his locks. Sad story.....

Glad those locks work for you, I have never had much luck with them, especially the lefties. When I confronted Caywood with his poorly performing lock at Manskers one year he ran me out of his tent and told me to buy my locks elsewhere. Great customer service.

Well I can understand how that could leave a bad taste in the mouth. I guess I have been lucky with mine as they all four are smooth as butter an spark real well. Whats the old saying "Id rather be lucky as good any day"
