American Craftsman TV show with Mike Brooks
« on: July 29, 2016, 03:23:45 PM »
Watched the American Craftsman show on the PBS Create channel last night. Host, Eric Gorges, spent the whole 1/2 hour (no commercials) with Mr. Mike Brooks. What an enjoyable show, listening and watching Mike talk and work on longrifles. Well done Mike!

My wife came across it and we watched it together. She said, "OMG. His workshop is just as messy as yours."

Wonderful interview.  Congratulation Mike.  You behaved like a gentleman throughout.

Didn't even know this was out there.  Just watched the entire episode, nicely done.  Especially enjoyed the part where the host smashed his finger with the short starter.

Beautiful home and country side you live in, thank you for doing this.

I thought the presentation was excellent for the uninitiated to long rifle building.  It was a good introduction to the subject.  And Mr. Brooks was very direct and concise in the interview (as if we didn't already expect that).  ;)  Well done, Mr. Brooks.  Thanks for posting the link, Dogcatcher.

It's nice to be able to put a face with a name. Before watching your video, I thought the little avatar pic is you in your younger days. ;D  Nice job on the video and  now I don't feel so bad for the mess in my shop.

I just watched it and it was nice to put a face with a name finally. Nicely produced and honest acting. Nice to see your simple, dirty shop with patina everywhere! That's your secret, eh? I've got ONE chisel (out of 60 or so) I use for 90% of my work too!
Better sharpen your patchknife now. Gus the dog stole the show!
