Interesting idea.  Would make my life simpler at times.  I have been known to spend way too much time trying to get a good joint on a rib and or thimble.

Until this hits the market, hot solder is easy to wet steel IF you wipe the solder around with a fluxed wad of steel wool.

It sounds like a good idea for the tech industry when it is perfected - who knows how many years that will be if ever. If it ever gets around for general use I don't think we will be around to use it ;D.

Acer, do you have to prep the steel wool in any way as some of it is oily and any particular grade such as 00 or 0000, etc.?

That's a neat idea.  But, I agree it will be years before it's on the market at a reasonable price.
