Hawken build
« on: August 15, 2016, 03:35:18 PM »
[ ] ] ][/img]Had to put the rifle on the back burner for a while, life's been throwing lots of curve balls as of late. Finally got around to finishing fabricating a toe plate. Its longer and thicker than those supplied with "parts" kits.looked more pleasing to my eye being as thick as the butt and as long as the heel.Used three screws to hold it.I know its nothing like what other folks are doing here but being my first build getting the inletting of the butt, toe and screws as right as I could its a start.Do recommend you pay attention to checking your screw slot depth as you file flush,LOL,learned that the hard way

I just finished a Hawken and used oval head screws indexed to be straight. Dan
