good wood find

I mentioned a cpl. wks. ago I picked up an 8' plank of curly maple at the Kalamazoo Show, well here it is after cutting it into rifle & pistol blanks! And to think the furniture vendor originally bought it to make a table top with. Two of the rifle blanks will handle 49" brrls. and the other a 44". and two matching pistol blanks. All are slab cut.

 Looks like it was worth the trip, nice find and if I remember the price was right.

Glad to see you rescued that wood from being used as a table top! Should make into some beautiful stocks.
