Wow....Really Short Rifle

I know this site is about "long" rifles, but I just stumbled across this video by accident.  At first I thought, "wow, what an ugly little thing".....but, since it is an original 18th century weapon, I watched the whole video.  By the end, the little thing sort of grew on me.....The guy doing the video does a good job as well, I think......

Its called a Stutzen and made for hunting in the mountains... quite common in European collections... take a look at almost any Hermann-historica.de auction and you will find at least 1-2.

So maybe a few we're made here. Without a patch box. Just a thought. I know I like the one I made. Sweet handling little brush gun. Very interesting video food for thought?

That gun is much later than he claims .It's more like 1800-1815 or so. I'd put a tighter patch/ball combo in it as it probably has a real fast twist. Nifty little gun, fast ignition too.

I'm planning on building a similar one as I have an old Lg. Cal 12" Barrel and a nice Block of wood.
The wood is too short for anything else.   It will be my first build .

I have already had a call today from a client who wants one of these rifles.  Is anyone out there currently making a .62 barrel similar to this one?
