Adams County Ohio Homestead Days….

My bride and I attended the John T. Wilson Homestead Days in Adams County Ohio recently. Activities included tours of the restored historical home, blacksmithing, food, crafts, tomahawk throwing, kids activities, etc. What attracted my attention the most was...…a black powder gun shoot. I got lucky & actually won 2nd place in the flintlock division. For me…that's PRICELESS!

What rifle were you shooting?

I'm using a Pedersoli Ky flintlock….50 caliber.  They can be found at any Cabelas.
It's been a good gun for one that's seen 4000+ shots in under 3 years.

I did well with it hunting wise. She had a Pedersoli barrel and was very accurate.  The lock, however, wasn't a Pedersoli lock and I don't know who built the lock, possibly Spanish, because when I competed with it for a number of years the lock pretty much fell apart.
