Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

There's plenty of room here in the "Tarheel" State if you want set with us for a spell. We'd love to have anyone who will help to keep NC "Green"($$$$).  ;)

I plan to go to the Seminar. Maybe I'll see Dennis there (?). I always have a good conversation with Michael when we're both showing at the Greensboro Gun Show.

Would love to but doubtful since I am having back surgery Tuesday morning. Way too long a drive (4.5 hrs from here) that soon after surgery.

I am sure its going to be a good Seminar.

Mike Brooks you would be very welcome here, to visit or live.

Dennis, thanks for telling everyone about this event.  Mecklenburg School rifles are very rare with only 19 examples known plus one pistol.  The two most expensive North Carolina Longrifles sold over the last ten years are both from this school.  No museum in the Charlotte area has ever displayed a rifle from this school so most people who live in Charlotte have never seen one.  The goal for the seminar on November 5th is to try to get at least 15 Mecklenburg School rifles all in one room at the same time.  This has never been done before and will probably not happen again.  It should be a lot of fun.
