Agreed ,when used for shaping barrels , a Vixen with that aggressive cutting tooth will remove furious amounts of metal.
That file, 6 hours and I have turned a round barrel, octagon. A good work out.
Even thinking about using ANY kind of file to make a round barrel octagon has made me so tired I won't go to the shop
in the morning

You bet, my hands end up sore but doable!
I still have some of the big half round Multicut files left. These have 11 inches of sharp teeth
on the flat side and are 1-1/8" wide and have a good tang for a comfortable handle.
These are AMERICAN made, new old stock and are $40 each to any U.S address which includes
USPS and shipped in a reusable mailing tube. IF you can't organize your life without making a
round barrel into square or octagon then these files will help. Used as a draw file with light pressure
and a good threading fluid or cutting oil they will take a lot of effort out of draw filing a tough steel barrel.
