I was wondering about one thing: Are you going to leave the top flat or round it gently as they usually were?

Well JJ, if I have more elbow grease left maby but as you see on the photo of the 2 originals the left have gently round but the right is flat ;)

This is a very intriguing build.  In my wanderings ion the interweb, I remember a thread about such a rifle on homegunsmith forum (I think).  Wasn't much enthusiasm about there...  From what I see and can imagine, that will be a sweet handling, very unique rifle.  Great work!

Hi All, and thank you guys!
I left the steel in polishing matte maby brown later . In photo is it with my Norwegian Snaplock(Bergen Lock) I build from scrath years ago in Cal 66 its the first barrel I rifled in my Iowa rifling bench think Bookie have some in his website about the barrel.So now, I must work on some cartriges guns for awile.
