Hi Rolf,
Well done.  It looks good.  Breaking up the lines helps and actually draws attention to the line better than with no breaks and dots.  You mention that the scrolls behind the cheek piece are missing something.  IMO, what is missing are some scrolls going in a reverse direction and physical mass of silver.  Regardless, the rifle will be beautiful when finished and the wire work is excellent.
