Another knife
« on: October 11, 2020, 06:53:10 AM »

An early attempt at a long hunter belt knife: 5160 truck spring steel, mule deer haft, poured pewter bolster. It was about 3/16 thick at the center spine, and tapered toward the back, and of course the edge.  Not much of a piece of art, but razor sharp and held a great edge.  Again, thanks for looking--JB

JB,

I like this one as well.

It looks like it would be comfortable to use.

I personally like a rustic look.

Thanks for sharing.

Regards,

Doug

Thanks Doug. Not pretty to look at, but was a good "user." Don't have it anymore, though. IIRC I gave it to Bud Clark, direct descendant of William Clark, when Bud came through Salmon in '05, re-tracing the route of his famous ancestor.  Guess it's time to make more knives. :D--JB
