How can you doubt the authenticity of this horn??  The guy that is selling it is the Early American History expert as seen on the History Channel's Pawn Stars.  That's enough for me.  Where do I send the check?

You guys are too cynical.  I'm going to buy it on the payment plan and turn a quick profit.  It will be hard to part with something so authentic, though.  That's what happened with the genuine Revolutionary War back action halfstock percussion rifle I got of the bay for just a few grand.  I got attached and just can't sell it.

   Obviously the opinion here is that this is some kind of scam. So what is the problem with it? Is it an insanely high price? Is it an obviously modern fake? Or is it something else? I don't really know much about this sort of thing.

Take a careful look at the closeups of the horn and look for white colored cuts around the lettering etc, unexpected sharpness of line You can then draw your own conclusions.

Hi Bill,

It's a modern made horn.  Now, the question is, does the seller know it's modern and is trying to dupe an unwary buyer.  Or is he not the expert he claims to be?
