Smoothbore work in progress

She is 99 % finished and would go 'bang' now.  Some tweaking needed Pictures to follow showing all her warts! :D

Hey, what are all the parts hung up on wires for?
When a reenactor says "They didn't write everything down"   what that really means is: "I'm too lazy to look for documentation."

You kidding :o   That's my parts washline to hang in my oil drum for browning (now finished took a week)

Did you get that stock from a certain Pennsylvania barrel maker?  I have a piece of walnut from Michicam via Pennsylvania with similar coloring.  Spectacular piece you have there.

Nope!  Coincidental I presume!  Nice walnut and that is main reason I didn't use a filler; but will take a bunch of rubbingson with the ol tyme boil linseed oil.  Have abt 10 applications since photo session...!  I'm in no rush ;D
