Brass & Horn Powder Measures

Had some left over small pieces of black horn that I didn't know what to do with. I turned them into end caps for brass tube powder measures. I also had scraps of both plain tubing and some spiral tubing, so I used both. These are for .50 cal or larger as the brass tubes are 1/2 inch OD. I need to make some for smaller calibers.

Those are neat Dave. I would imagine some wax dripped in would allow for a great range of charges. Well done. At first I thought you had turned the Spiral design.

Tim,
I have made a few others where I used a small cork to adjust the charge. If I needed to pull it out, I just used a ball puller or cork screw on it.

Those measures are very nice looking; good workmanship. Again, it gives me an idea.
