First Flintlock

For more than 3 years I make flintlock rifles on scale. I found drawings and pictures on the internet. I am from the Netherlands and here is nobody ho makes things like this. I have to get my inspiration in the VS. My first one is a Kentucky long rifle. I had to learn how to make a Flintlock work.

I have a friend in the Netherlands who has been a contributor to this site:  Hans Muller.  I hope he is in good health - I haven't heard from him for some time.  Perhaps he will see this and respond.
You obviously have considerable talent and drive.  I applaud your work, but would like to see you more closely adhere to traditional design and architecture.  Though your rifle is interesting, it resembles a more contemporary approach to longrifle architecture, to be gentle.  You obviously have the skill.  I'd hope you will take this as constructive critique, and endeavour to more accurately portray these iconic firearms.

And a sincere welcome to this site!

That is a neat little rifle you have made ! With your obvious skills you are in good company here to, do as Mr. Sapergia suggests . There is a lot of very  good reference material on this site from some super talented builders .  Welcome!!!

All of my muzzleloaders will shoot into one ragged hole ALL DAY LONG ... it's just the 2nd or 3rd & other shots that tend to open up my groups ... !
