Kansas.
We've a no-closed season on rabbit and squirrel runs from June 1st till the end of February. Pretty much covers year round.
Have also sent many armadillo to their maker in that time frame. Summer usually see's alot of snapping turtles meeting their maker also...but usually shoot them with a blackpowder revolver.

Kansas sounds like a good place for our nonhuman brethren to avoid!

Snapping turtles are excellent eating! PIA to clean, but people will stand in line to eat some of it. They are good in soup and fried. I assume you do eat them...........right!
