That turned out great.  Awesome piece of maple.

You will have it in your hands in about a week or so -  :D

Thanks to you Jim and Katherine for sending such a pretty stock for Jon to work with. I am well satisfied with the finish on the rifle.  It will go to my grandson when I am finished looking and shooting it.  He is 13 and loves to hunt and fish.  He already has 5 deer to his credit.  This rifle will make him a good squirrel and turkey rifle.

Can't wait to get my hands on the rifle.  I got ball and powder ready to go.
Will have fun adjusting the sights.
You did an awesome job on the rifle.  Will show to my grandson the day it arrives and get a few pictures.
I really do appreciate you building the Kibler rifle for me.  It is exactly how I wanted one.

That color turned out nice. Unusual curl pattern on it too.

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

One day I want to visit your shop - even if I have to sweep the floors - would still be a learning experience... Ready?

I'd bet real money you'd be highly disappointed. ;) I'll take some pics and post them, then you can decide whether that is something you want to do or not. It's mostly sawdust everywhere and cobwebs. A 1930's era drill press that was my great uncle's and a band saw I got at an auction for $10. Then there is junk. I was out there a couple days ago for the first time in two months and find my wife has been stacking junk in there she finds I know not where...... >:( It'd going to take days just to clear all that out before I can even get back down to sawdust again. ::)

You're in a rare club of only 4 or 5 that have been here at the New Liberty shop. It's been a pleasure to spend some time with all of those that have stopped  by to visit .. It's fun to get to see people in person that I've known only on the key board and phone.

I like the finished rifle very much. No stars, no engraving, pure nature.
In the future I want to try the Iron Nitrate. It gives a special effect for this rifle.

Received my Rifle from Jon.  Here is a picture of my grandson who will be the owner of the rifle when I decide its time to give to him.  He had a grin from ear to ear when I showed it to him.

I just love how slim and elegant they are when you see them in someones hands!
