Nick, i don't have a system to collect duct. I have a shop vac that gets use from time to time, and I usually just sweep it up and put it into a garbage can I keep in the shop. The main floor of the house probably gets a little more dust than a house where the main activity is watching TV - I used to just blame it on the cat, but she's gone now, so it's a bit of a joke. I change the furnace filter once a month, and it always really needs it. About twice a year, I use the compressor and blow out the rafters, with the shop fan running. So it goes into the back yard. For a fan, I have a furnace squirrel cage mounted on the ceiling and an eight inch outlet outside. It moves a lot of air, and I always use it when I cast lead, or use chemicals and solvents. I have to open the window at the other end of the shop, or it will pull air down the water heater exhaust, and extinguish it.
