Cavsoldier, as nice as that bench is I think I would try and send it home to myself and just pick up the costs.

Nice compact bench CavSoldier !

I'm moving overseas and was wondering what to do about a bench myself .
I have a parrot vice which I can take but will need a bench that's compact . Great idea .

This is the best gunmaker's vise I've ever seen.  It belongs to Al Lind in Washington. It is inordinately sturdy and near infinitely adjustable.  If someone made these again I would buy one.

Sorry, Kudu and Al didn't remember either when I took these photos 7 years ago.

Great design, thanks for sharing-maybe it'll inspire a home-machinist to make a few and test the market. Unless of course we can find a ready-made one!

edit: 15 minutes later and I've just looked through about 1,000 used vises with zero luck.  Maybe it's European? or a one-off? Somebuddy ask Mr. Lind please.  Thanks.
