Rich; Bill Large .54 cal barrel, straight octagon & patent breach, 37 1/2" long, 1 1/8" flat to flat. Bob Roller Lock & triggers, TOW non-inletted curly maple 1/2 Hawken stock & mountings. 2 applications with heat Aqua Fortis followed by 10 hand rubbed coats of Tru Oil (heated on every application), 9 coats of gun stock wax also heated on every application. Barrel & mountings were polished & heated to 200 degs, 2 applications of slow rust blue, washed, dried. 0000 steel wooded, & cleaned with Acetone before & after each coat..heated again to 150 degs. And applied 2 coats of Cold Blue wit same procedure as above. 13 7/8" pull, total weight 11.0 lbs, total length 52 1/2".

You may remember me from February 2014 when I started asking you & this forum many questions concerning the rifle I wanted to build..... since then I studied & researched the Hawken rile & have compiled a 3 1/2 " binder of information including following this forum for information & expertise!!! I started this build February this year & completed last week!! Lots of measurements, bad words & sore hands & fingers!!! May not be as good as some master builders on here but I sure am proud of it!!!!
